Both parents terminal

Not sure what I want from this but here it is. Both parents diagnosed with cancer in 2016 March. Dad terminal, mum stage 4 bowel. Dad chemo and radio still here but exhausted all treatment unless accepted on Harley street trial. Mum was given all clear then they found TB. Given all clear from TB in October, told last week cancer is back and today it’s bacj in multiple places, operation not advised and chemo for palliative. Dad is 75, mum 66. No ideas what to do

  • Hi James.

I did the same thing as you when I got the bad news about my dad- hes terminal with pancreatic cancer- I wrote on here no knowing what I wanted or what I was expecting to get out of it, but honeslty Ive had so many kinds words and its just reassuring to know that youre not the only one going through it.

I'm so sorry about your mum and dad. God knows im struggling, but I couldnt imagine going through what you are. Both parents at the same time, can be a cruel world cant it. You must be a very strong person to be able to cope with something like this.

If you dont mind me asking, how old are you? I hope you have family members around you to help. I know you probably feel like you need to support your parents in this, but you need support too.

If ever you need to chat to anyone please feel free to send me a message, im more than happy to be a listening ear x
