Hi everyone, I would just like to say to anyone who has recently had a diagnosis of breast cancer and needs chemotherapy not to panic. It is not as bad as you think and the nurses are so nice and caring, they really help you through.
I had the diagnosis in January this year and went through 5 months of treatment, lumpectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I have been back at work now nearly 2 months and feel virtually back to normal. The whole thing was such a shock, but you just get a strength from somewhere and keep moving on with it until you get to the end.
My advice is to listen to your Oncologist, take the treatment and hopefully you will be fine. Also remember that the success rate now is nearly 90 percent! That was one of the things that kept me going.
