Hello

Just saw this and decided it might be just what I need. I am not a survivor but a family member of someone that passed. It's been over two years now since mum passed away.

    Hello Loulou,

A very warm welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear about your mum’s passing two years ago. Losing your mum is probably the biggest challenge that most of us face in our lives. I lost my mum to secondary breast cancer 20 years ago. Latterly it was into her liver, lungs, brain and bones. It was harrowing and heart-breaking to see her deteriorate before our very eyes, and I still miss her every day. It does get easier to cope with as time passes, but we are all different and, it takes some peple longer to reach this stage than others.

Do you have family of friends to support you as you come to terms with all that has happened, or have you considered talking to a counsellor or someone from Cruse? This doesn’t help everyone, but some people do find it beneficial.

How are you coping and, is your pain beginning to get any easier yet? Please share a little more detail if you can and we might be able to help you more. We are always here for you, whenever you feel like talking.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
