Hi, 13 weeks ago we got the news my elder brother has cancer. It was a big shock to us all. Long story short...After weeks of tests it was realised the tumour was growing around his heart and major blood vessels. An emergency operation was needed to try and release fluid and as much of the tumour as possible. Pretty much like open heart surgery and a good chance he wouldnt survive the op. He did thankfully and came out of intensive care after 4 days. We have now been told its Synovial Sarcoma (not sure of spelling) again it is very rare and especially where it is and in someone so young (38) He has just undergone 3 days of intensive chemo and was due to come out of hospital yesterday but is too unwell.
Very worrying times luckily he has us, a big family who have been by his side throughout.
I hope to just be able to talk to people who may have experienced similar and support each other.
