No diagnosis but told secondries

Hello

    Hi Sweetpea,

A warm welcome to Cancer Chat.

I am so sorry to hear that you have been told that you have secondaries.

Can you share a little more about your type and stage of cancer, where your secondaries are, how long you're had it for, what tests you've had,  and what age you are? These facts should help us to put you in touch with others who have had experience of the same type of caner.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi

It all started 11 weeks ago. I woke up with intense pain in my right chest, shoulder and arm. My doctor sent me up to A&E suspected gall stones. Had x-ray and sent home. Received a phone call from a doctor 4 days later that I needed an urgent ct and to see consultant as I had a lesion on my rib.  Had the ct on Tuesday saw consultant on the Wednesday who told me I had a myeloma which is either leukaemia or bone cancer. I had more x-rays blood tests and bone marrow biopsy.  Went back 2 weeks later for results. Told it isn't leukaemia it is secondries and they don't know where the primary is. Then sent and had a PET scan.  Result highlighting the rib. So sent me for a bone biopsy which they did not get a good result. Im on liquid morphine. Feel frightened as not been talked to about results as secretary keeps saying inconclusive and need more tests.

Now waiting for an open biopsy and another ct to see if grown. Do they rule out other reasons for the pain while they are doing the tests.
