Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but am glad that you are coming to the end of Herceptin.
I have had two bouts of primary breast cancer, the first was diagnosed 7 years ago and the second the following year. The first time I had a lumpectomy followed by Tamoxifen and the second I had a double mastectomy followed by Letrozole. I stopped taking Letrozole this year, after almost 6 years. I have had a lot of trouble with all of the joints in my body since starting treatment. I have had to have both knees replaced and will soon need my hips replaced too. I also have terrible pain in my back, lower legs, feet, neck, shoulders and arms. This isn't made any better by Lymphoedema, which I now also have in both arms.
Have you tried any pain management or mindfullness classes? Medication can sometimes help to dull the pain, but it can make you very sleepy.
I had hoped that when I stopped taking hormone treatment that the pain might subside, but I'm afraid that it hasn't so far. Maybe you'll be luckier and could find that your pain abates when you stop taking Herceptin? I do hope so.
