I can fully appreciate the shock it would have been when your husband was expecting to be told about a hernia, but instead was told that he had kidney and lung cancer. A diagnosis like this affects the whole family and treatment starts so fast that everybody is left reeling. How has he been coping with Sutent?

Thank you for your kind words Jolamine he has his good days and bad days on sutent his appetite is affected, taste buds, gets very tired and his hair and moustache have turned white!! One of the worst side effects is the upset stomach but it mainly affects him in the morning so he still manages a couple of hours at work a few days a week. His last 2 ct scans shows a slight shrinkage in his lung tumours which we're clinging onto and hope for it to continue each time in the future. They want to see a lot more shrinkage before they'll consider removing his kidney as the mass fills it, and there has been no more spread to anywhere else which was good news.
