Hi,
I was diagnosed last July with grade 3 triple negative bc. I had an op to check my lymph nodes and thankfully it came back all clear. However as my lump was large and aggresive they said i would respond well to neo adjuvent chemo (chemo before surgery) to help shrink the lunp and save the breast. I had 2 rounds of FEC and then 4 rounds of T as the scan showed after 2 rounds the lump wasn't shrinking. After one round of T the lump had started to shrink and kepted on *** so up to my last round of chemo. I had a lumpectomy with onco plastic reshaping in January this year but had to have a reexcsion as they could only get clear margins on three sides. However after the 2nd surgery they managed to get it all.I was told if they couldn't get clear marginns after the re excision then i would have to have a mastectomy, as they would have to take away to much breast tissue to make the outcome look ok for me. I then had 3 weeks of radiotherapy and 1 week of a boost radiotheraphy directly to the area the tumor had originally grown in.
Had my yearly mammogram Tuesday just gone and am just wating on the results, waiting for results is worse than anything i have found, even though my bcn has been fantastic and extremley reassuring, until you hear its's ok offical you can't help but worry.
Much Love
