Hi. I'm claire. 46 years old. Was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of months ago. I've had mt first chemo with the cool cap. Not anywhere near as bad as I expected. I have 5 more to do followed by mastectomy then radiotherapy then reconstruction. I'm scared but positive

    I tried the cooling cap but found it too cold on my head lol 

    You will be scared i totally understand but the best thing is to be positive ive been through it chemo was ok just get plenty of rest but radio was the hardest . I wish you all the best and keep laughing it certainly is the best medicine x

    Ive only just been diagnosed  with BC 3 weeks ago. I will be having a mastectomy  on left breast on 4th sept then possibly chemo afterwards depending on results of sentinel node extraction and biopsi . I too feel scared but positive and so glad I had my mammogram , might of saved my life!..be positive and we both will beat this cancer!

    Hi Claire and... everyone else,

    I too have just been diagnosed with breast cancer following a routine screening appt. 

    I have an MRI scan on Wednesday then scheduled for my op on 29th. 

    All in all a scary time where I go between calm normality and my mind chasing its tail to nowhere.

    So pleased you are feeling better than you expected Claire it helps to stay strong in mind if we feel ok in body.

    Sending positive thought to you all ladies. Keep posting to let us know how you are all doing or if you just need to chat/vent.
