Hi all am lyn got dignosed with breast cancer 5 weeks ago had op 2 weeks ago to then find out the cancer has spread into the nodes having to go for a bone test this week and back to the chemo doctor next week ... must say getting very scared now
Welcome to Cancer Chat. I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. Do you have to have more lymph nodes removed or is your surgeon happy with what he took away already? Do you know how many of your lymph nodes were affected?
Waiting to get the results of all your tests and getting a treatment plan after surgery are very scary times. Try not to worry too much about the spead into your nodes. After all, there is nothing that you can do to change this. The important thing is to see how far it has spread into the lymph nodes. Your chemo doctor should be able to tell you this next week.
I have had two bouts of primary breast cancer, so know only too well the fear associated with tests and results. I was diagnosed with the first cancer 7 years ago and with the second the following year.

Hi Lyn I got diagnosed 2years ago I was told I could not get my breast removed I started chemo after 3 sessions they told me it was going better than they thought it would after my 6th and final chemo they told me they could take off my breast I decided I wanted both off . I got a cancellation a week before Christmas I got both breasts of and 26 lymph nodes removed I could not believe I had that many in my body never mind just in one breast after the operation I did not need any painkillers I know its scary try and be positive its amazing the treatments they have got xx
