    Hi ipsangelj,

    Welcome to cCancer Chat.

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the fact that you are now having bother with a leaking breast. I hope that you have returned to get this seen to, as I know first-hand just how sore that can be. Have you been told how many lymph nodes were affected?

A cancer diagnosis comes as a terrible shock especially if you have enjoyed good healyh up to that point. Looking at your photo, I assume that this applies to you? It also affects family members and not just the patient.

There are various support groups that you can join locally. If you are interested ask your care team about these. You can also access free counselling if you feel that this might help. Personally, I have found that this site has been more helpful for me. I know that I can explain how I am feeling, no matter how odd it might sound and I will get assurance from someone who has had first-hand experience of what I am going through, that my sentiments are perfectly normal.

It is still early days for you. If it is of any consolation, things do eventually settle down and you learn to live with your diagnosis. Have you planned any follow up treatment? Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

Here's hoping that your infection heals quickly. Remember that there is always someone here to talk to whenever you feel the need.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
