Hi all I'm Jacqui. I am newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer and still feeling stunned and possibly still in denial.
Hi there ... I am 4weeks post masectomy and the one thing I've learned is you go through lots of different feelings an it is all quite normal ... There's no right or wrong ways to get through ... So don't worry about having these thoughts .... Just try to work through them an 3/4 weeks on it wasn't as tramatic as l thought .... Your one of thousands having to face life and remember things have come a long way and l hope you have a good cancer care team around you ... McMillan have a help line you can ring when things overwhelm you an they are people who have had their own journey too .... But they are there to listen ... So all the best an big hug xx
Hi Jacquie, You're having normal feelings I would say, so dont worry about that. I was diagnosed early June and felt the same.
I had my cancer op on 13th June., never ever been in hospital before, let alone an op I was extremely apprehensive . I found my best way of dealing with things is to not over think. I've taken each stage as it's come and so far have been so lucky in all the people surgeon, nurses, radiographer that have guided me through with kindness, reassurance and so much information. I have a wonderful dedicated breast care nurse at the end if the phone at all times should I need to ask anything at all.. I am now preparing for the next stage of radiotherapy on the 17th August .
I sincerely hope your journey will be the same Jacquie. Stay positive it will be easier as he weeks pass.
