Introduce yourself

Hi everyone

 

I have just joined this forum, dad has been diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, probable 2/3 months left.  Feeling a little alone right now.  It's very hard sometimes.  Would love to share thoughts with anyone out there for support.

    Hi Fer1,

    So sorry to read about your Dad's diagnosis and prognosis. 

    Has your Dad met his Consultant to discuss any potential treatment plans yet? 2 to 3 months isn't easy to cope with but these times aren't set in stone and they sometimes prove to be inaccurate.

    Hi Dave

     

    Sorry I did not reply.  We lost dad in September.  He also had a heart condition and I found him already passed.  The doctors think his tumour had ruptured bless him followed by cardiac arrest.

    He is at peace now.  It is very surreal, but I have the love of my husband and friends all around me and I went back to work as soon as I could, it helps.

    Hi fer1,

    So sorry to read about your Dad - losing someone so quickly is never easy even when you know they have medical issues.
