Post treatment...what now?

Hi I'm Lesley. I'm two years post treatment for head and neck cancer. I've been left with a few issues with swallowing, eating , sleeping and can't seem to get back to a 'normal' life. Any suggestions for moving on?

  • Hello Lesley. My husband is just starting the journey you have had - his is tonsil cancer. So my advice is from hoping we have a future and you have shown me that we can. Start small with doing something for others by volunteering. You'll make new friends and it will feel good to. Plan in something for yourself... Something you've always wanted to do but never been brave enough. It might take a while to reach your goal but if you plan now you can start working towards it.

  • Hi Kayeliz

Ive just read your post and just to let you know that there is lught at the end of the tunnel. My husband was diagnosed with tonsil cancer and lymph node mets on December 8th 2015 - after treatment he has now been in remission for 12 months and doing well. It is a long road but well worth the journey. If you need someone to chat to esoecially as one one wife to another then feel free to message me and good lyck.

    best wishes
