Hello and help

Hi all,

Just joined the forum and possibly like most who join, I have had my life touched by cancer both indirectly (Uncle has prostate cancer and I lost another to pancreatic cancer); and what I fear the most, directly as well. Which is why I find myself here currently saying hello and shortly will follow a post about my worry.

  • Hello wurzelmania,

I noticed you hadn't had a reply yet so I just wanted to stop by and welcome you to the forum :)

And you're right, many members and their families have been affected by cancer in one form or another so will understand your fears and hopefully some of them will pop by soon to say hello and let you know they're here for you. We have a very supportive and friendly community and I hope like many before you, you will be able to benefit from their support and advice.

    All the best,

    Hi Wurzelmana,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I too have lost many family and close friends to cancer and found myself diagnosed with breast cancer 7 years ago.

I agree that I have not been nearly as strong in dealing with my own diagnosis as I was with others. I think that a lot of this is due to fear of the unknown.

I look forward to hearing more about your cancer journey so far. Don’t forget that there is always someone here if you want to chat, rave, etc.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
