Thanks for your response yeah it's been a tuff few months my first lot of chemo went well it was a long day as they had to start it slowly. The second session went a lot quicker in total I had 6 sessions every 3 weeks. During the months I was getting more tired all i wanted to do was sleep and food was getting so bland taste buds had gone. I wasn't going to let it beat me so i kept myself busy stayed awake more and eat at meal times. After more tests the cancer was in other places and got the intraphecal injection done had 3 lots that was hard to cope, it is a barrier to stop it spreading to my brain if it returns it was worth getting to help me.

Wow, this is the kind of thing I need to hear. Sorry you have had such a rough time but what a result. I have just been diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma a few days ago. I was supposed to have a polyps removed from my sinus but it turned out to be a malignant tumour. In turmoil at the moment and have been told that it is a very rare type called Plasmablastic Lymphoma. I am just starting my rocky ride with a heavy dose of DA-EPOCH chemo planned in a few weeks. Just have to have a heart ultrasound and bone marrow test. Thanks for sharing your experience, I can only live in hope.

Sorry for the delay in responding to you. I have been away for a few days. I haven't had chemo myself, but I understand that tiredness and a change in the taste of food are both fairly common side-effects. Are you still feeling tired? Sometimes it is better to give in to it  and sleep when you need to. What about your taste buds - do you expect these to return to normal eventually?

You sound so brave in the way you have dealt with your treatment and accepted all that you have been offered. I sincerely hope that you remain in remission having gone through so much to get here.

I am sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. I can fuly understand how this must have knocked you for six when you were expecting a very different result.

I hope that the chemo works as well for you as it has for Coffindodger. It is always such a help to hear positive stories from others who have undergone similar treatments for the same condition that you yourself have.
