I have only had two bouts of breast cancer so I don’t know much about the waiting times for results for tonsils. One to two weeks does sound pretty much the norm. I am afraid that even your surgeon doesn’t know whether or not there is anything sinister until your results come back from pathology, so we cannot look on the length of time as a good omen.

It is only natural to be a little worried. Waiting for the results of tests is always a stressful time and many of us find our emotions all over the place during that time.

Try to keep yourself as busy as possible to try and make the waiting time go by a little quicker and try to do things that will help to take your mind off the results, even if only for a short time. Also try to avoid looking up the internet, as we tend to read about worst case scenarios and attribute them to ourselves. You don’t need any additional stress so stay clear if you can.
