I have ovarian cancer but I'm not sure how this works can you help?
Hi there,
Welcome to the forum that no one wants to join. Despite that I’m sure that like the rest of us, you will come to find it a great resource to have behind you at a time like this. Most of us on this site are not medics, so cannot answer your question about ovarian cancer. I am surprised that your consultant didn’t explain it all to you.
Can I suggest that you phone the nurses on this site for a more informed answer to your question? They are very helpful and it is free to call them. You might find it helpful to draw up a list of questions first of all. I do this for all my appointments – that way I don’t forget all the important questions I want answers to.
Have you started any treatment yet or have you drawn up a treatment plan? It is always a worrying time waiting for results and treatment to start. We are always here for you whenever you want to talk. Don’t forget to keep us updated on how you are getting on.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi livinglife,
I'm glad you've found us and hope you find the forum supportive. If you'd like some help, please do let us know here, or drop us an email and we'll do our best to get you chatting.
I've noticed that you're based in the US, and not the UK, so my apologies for any confusion we may have caused by recommending our nurse team in our email reply to you recently. Unfortunately, they're not able to support international queries.
You are very welcome to continue to chat here with other community members though, and I'm pleased to see that Jolamine has already sent a very friendly response!
I'm also including information about the American Cancer Society, who provide online, email and telephone information for people with cancer. Their Helpline number is: 1 800 227 2345.
Wishing you all the very best,
Helen

Hi Helen,
Mant thanks for rectifying my mistake. I hadn't realised that Livinglife was resident in the USA and not the UK.
Kind regards,
Jolamine
