Newly Diagnosed

Hello, I was diagnosed with breast cancer Tbursday 11th May. I don't know what stage its at or what my care plan will be until Friday.
Telling my family, has been the worse thing ive ever had to do, BUT I'm trying to be very positive and trying to keep things has normal as can be.
"I dread Friday" i just hope & pray i habe a fighting chance.

  • It sucks but I am.in the same.place u are also.  I know I can beat it and hope all goea well.on friday for.you

  • Hi. My heart goes out to you. There's nothing worse than that 'wait'. My 'wait' finally ended today when I was told I have ovarian cancer. So as well as having already been sliced from top to toe and having everything removed....and then some.....as a result of my biopsy I am told I have a stage 1 clear cell ovarian cancer. Oh that's not too bad methinks; stage 1 so it's been found early. Then I go online and find out it is the rarest and most aggressive form of ovarian cancer. So now the next 'wait' begins to get an appointment from the medical oncologists to "discuss my chemotherapy options" The wait is a strange place to be. I have swung from positivity to weeping and worrying about potentially leaving my 11 year old parentless. He'said only 11 now. I think from what you say you are handling it the best way. Continue to stay strong and positive. My prayers for you join yours. I wish you all the best.
  • Oh my days, you must be gutted. So, if I'm right this is secondary cancer? Its all new to me, which i find hard because everythings going to be hard to take in. You need to surround yourself with family and friends & get all the help you can. Xx
  • Hi thanks for your lovely post. No not secondary. The ovarian cyst was the main one. As far as I know at this point it hasn't started up anywhere else! My family are positive. I hope your family are too x

  • Oh that's great news...my daughters mother in law, has just got over that. Be as positive as you possibly can. Its all i can do, i won't allow it to take over!!!
