This is my first visit to the forum, just wanted to say hi. I was recently diagnosed with a stage 2 melanoma, having just undergone my second operation and lymph node biopsy I am now awaiting results in a couple of weeks. It's a very scary time.
Hi there, sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. I was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma eleven years ago and it came back in May 16 (now stage 3).
I had a lymphnode dissection and have been in remission since.
Please don't google survival rates as most of the information is out of date. The treatment options for melanoma have greatly improved in the last two years. I have spoken to a few stage 3'ers that are still here 20 years down the line.
Where was your primary melanoma? Are you stage 2 (a,b or c)
