i am a first timer! It's a bit scary.

Hello everyone. I have been reading all your stories with great interest and a lot of sadness as well, there are so many  brave people out there. I had my Mastectômy six months ago and  was in hospital having my op at  10 am and was home at 4.30 I couldn't believe how easy it all went. However I have been going back to the hospital about every couple of weeks to have drainage done from the wound  area wondered if anyone can tell me how long this will go on for? As soon as I have had it done it starts to fill up again into a hard lump! I am worrying about it!

  • Hi, I don't know much about breast cancer, so can't help with the lump question. But they must have been pleased with how the op went if they let you out so quick. I have secondary liver and kidney cancer after being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in February 2016. You're bound to worry but try to live each day now. If you feel up to doing something good, do it. Spoil yourself, you've been through a lot. Xx
