Hi everyone

Just saying hello

I was diagnosed with upper right lung NSC Adenocarcinoma in Aug 2011. I've had an upper right lobectomy and a right adrenalectomy thanks to secondary cancer. I've since had 5 other sites all of which have responded well to treatment. I'm now under palliative care and have been for the last 3 years, but I'm still plodding on. I've just had 3 cycles of taxotere chemo and am on a new maintainance drug of Nintedanib to try and keep the cancer at bay. I like to think of myself as a very positive person. It's not for everyone but I think it definitely helps.

  • Hello Lisastge4 and welcome to Cancer Chat,

Thanks for sharing your story. It's been over 5 years since you were diagnosed and you certainly have been through a lot and have had quite a few procedures! I am glad you responded well to treatment and you certainly seem to have a lot of determination and a great attitude.

I hope you are not feeling too tired after having just had three cycles of Taxotere and starting this new maintenance drug. I hope you will meet others here who are in a similar situation or who are receiving the same treatment. You might also be interested in reading our information on Nintedanib here.

    Best wishes,
