Hi, my name is Diana and I have a very unusual story, and wonder if anyone else has ever seen this before. My sister-in-law was diagnosed with GB in June of 2015. She's had 2 brain surgeries and is now on hospice not doing well at all. At this point I think she may have a couple of weeks to live. Here's the strange part...my brother (her husband) was diagnosed with GB in October of 2016! He had brain surgery in November of 2016 and is doing "okay" right now, but we've been told the tumor grew all through his chemo and radiation, so it's only a matter of time. A few weeks ago he lost use of his left side and we took him to his dr (UCSF) and they tripled his steroids, and we immediately saw improvement. So, unfortunately at this point I feel as if the steroids are basically what's keeping him alive, and who knows how long that will last...It's a devastating situation for myself and my entire family. How can two unrelated people get the same diagnosis at the same time!!!! We are just stunned! I'd love to hear if anyone else has ever heard of this. We're wondering if it's environmental, but will likely never know. Thanks so much for listening.
