OK, let's try again. The "my name is Dave" is the true bit. I'm a bit like you, I suspect, in that I've had cancer (hopefully past tense holds good) and a bit of a rough time since but - hey - still around to chat to you

T'was 15th Sept 2015 when I got the bad news but, thanks to our wonderful NHS, on Oct 6th, my right lung went missing. I was great for 2 weeks till I collapsed with pneumonia and (seeing as I'd run out of spares) ended up on life support for a couple of weeks. Over a year later I'm still recovering but a bit slowly. Just the cancer I'd have been fine but - oh what the heck. Lots of home oxygen and the support of my wife and daughter and things are ok.
