Exhausted

Four weeks ago after suffering weeks of back pain and weight loss my father was diagnosed with secondary metastatic bone cancer of unknown primary, I am struggling to deal with it all and as a nurse when you know what's to come it adds another dimension of difficulty to the situation, my best friend also has terminal breast cancer at the age of 31 and my brother was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer two years ago (thankfully he is now in remission)

  • Hi

I am new to all of this forum stuff, but can I just say how sorry I am to hear your news.

That is a lot of heartache to go through.

My mum died of cervical cancer when I was 8 and here I am 33 years later and my darling dad has 3-6 months after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Have never grieved for my mum really, do am scared that I will have a breakdown when my dad goes...there is a lot of step family baggage that isn't good either. Am just trying to work out how to tell my 10 and 8 year old about grandad....

Life can be terribly hard sometimes and it's good to have places like this to chat, even if what gets said isn't all that enlightening...sorry.

    I wish you strength.
