Hello

Good Morning

My mum is 69 and went to a&e in January as she had been unwell for a few months but the GP diagnosed IBS/constipation. By Christmas  I was convinced it was Ovarian cancer based on her symptoms. Once she was admitted to hospital in January it took about a week or so for them to confirm it was stage 3c and they hoped to do chemo. Due to the ascites and her weak condition they then decided it was not a option. She was fast tracked discharged about 5 weeks ago (2 weeks after she was admitted), given days/weeks rather than months. We are at the stage where the syringe driver is going to be fitted on Friday as she can't swallow any meds. I have read lots of posts on the syringe driver and I think anything to make her more comfortable is a good thing. I know it's sounds harsh but  We don't want to see her suffer anymore. It's all been rather quick but I know others have had less time so I am thankful we have had time to say what we wanted to. Thinking of everybody that is suffering.
