Hello I am at the hospital tomorrow at 11 clock for bisopy and Friday for a heart scan and Tuesday breathing test I got to go gp this afternoon as I not be well all night she wants me to have some more tablets antibiotics for my chest so worriedfor myself and my family thank you I will keep all updated on test results
Hi been at hospital all day was told this morning it 3cm and it's cancer it's only in lung at moment got to have a pet scan done before 9 th march had bisopy done so scared I can't cry now got to be strong going back to work next Thursday on less hours as I work as a care assistant take my mind off all this it's have be operation on it doctor said and I got my age going for me my health is good so going to do it all the only question I want to ask what happened after it out with I need treatment chemo ? Thank you for taking the trouble to update us Joannarie and I am so sorry to hear you have now been diagnosed with lung cancer. You must be exhausted too after spending the whole day in hospital.
As your doctor said, it's a positive thing that your health is good and that it is only in the lung. I hope the return to work goes well - you are right to take on fewer hours but as you rightly say work will be a welcome distraction. Make sure you ask your doctor what your treatment plan is and I am sure they will be able to guide you on what the best course of treatment will be and whether you will need to have chemotherapy.

Hello I feel so tired and got to have PETscan one day next week they trying to slot me in and next meeting at hospital to be told the plan of action is the 9 th march fingers crossed it's not spread anywhere else the pet scan doctor said cancer will show up if spread I am so scared for my family I being strong scared to go back to work but I know I need to be normal at the moment I keeping think they got it wrong and I don't have cancer so down in myself but can't tell anyone especially family I so need a hug of my mum but she died in 2011 of breast cancer I want to scream and shout but I can't don't want to hurt anyone by letting go
Hello lucie I am so scared had a call yesterday of the doctor she was lovely on the phone she told me that the bisopy was not good for staging so I been referred to another hospital she said that they need to get to the bottom part for the bisopy my head is in bit I got the pet scan on the 9 th march so results day now is the 19 th march at 9 am. On the paperwork I revived today a letter it's says lung cancer T2a does that mean they think it stage 1b ? I so scared I think they got it all wrong I feel okay in myself sounds stupid how does someone feel that got lung cancer .. I given my tumour a name he called Timmy T---t tumour ...it's not nice not been in control off anything just want to know what next and what going to happen to Timmy I want him out of my body .i going back on Thursday to work but after call doctor said I am on stand by to go to another hospital and she wants it done before I go christies on the 9 for pet scan what a name pet scan ... could I ask anyone I got a brother who I spoken to last week about my cancer but everything he said he was coming down to see me he phoned or texted and cancelled it .... I don't understand why he can't face me if shoe was on other foot I would be there by him I want to scream and shout at him feel like he no support for me or my family I scared to think about what life is going to be like after the 16 would my two sons and daughter plus hubby be able to come with me to results day another stupid question as a family we all want to be together with the news about Timmy tumour that's hope someone can tell me anything by for now Joanne & Timmy tumour
I just wanted to pop by and link you to some information we have on our website about lung cancer staging which you can read more about here. If anything doesn't make any sense or if you have any questions do give our cancer nurses a call as they will be able to explain it to you in more detail. Their number is 0808 800 4040 and they're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They will also be able to let you know if you're family can be with you when you get the results. I think they can but it's always good to double check, if not with our nurses then with your medical team.
I'm sorry your brother cancelled meeting you. Did he say why he was no longer able to come and see you? Hopefully he will be able to see you soon.
Although tumours aren't nice I like the name you've given yours Joan. Sometimes giving something a name can make it seem a bit less scary and I hope that is the case with Timmy.
