Hi,

Im Jack and my girlfriend was recently diagnosed with cancer. We're both 18. She has a sarcoma in her knee. Thankfully they found it early and she will make a full recovery. She's currently having her first lot of chemotherapy. She is doing so well, and I'm so proud of her! We've been together for about a year and a half now. I understand as time gets on and the treatment takes it's toll on her, it will get harder. It sounds like a really odd question, but has anyone got any good TV show recommendations? Because we can't go out a lot at the minute, being inside watching TV is our life currently. We're up to date on Game of Thrones (I can't wait for it to start again!!) and The 100. If anyone has anything they like please share! Thanks,

    I'm really glad to hear that the sarcoma in your girlfriend's knee was found early and that she will make a full recovery. I see you mentioned that she is having her first round of chemo. How is she getting on? I hope the chemo is going well so far and she isn't experiencing too many side effects from the treatment. 

    That isn't an odd question at all Jack, in fact I think it's a great question and shows how forward thinking and considerate you are :) I think it depends on what genre of TV programme you like to watch and what you have access; for example I would probably recommend a show called Person of Interest on Netflix. It's really good and a programme you could easily sit and binge watch for many hours! Comedy shows may also be good as laughter is always a good way to keep positive and take your mind off things.

    Maybe you could give a bit more information about what others types of programmes you both like watching so other members can respond with their suggestions.

    I hope you hear from them soon and that your girlfriend's chemo goes well.

    Hi Jack

    I can recommend The West Wing, Fortitude is good but very blood thirsty, mind you if you gave watched GOT then i wouldn't worry.
