  • Hello Jlt63 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

You have come to the right place to meet others who have been diagnosed with this type of cancer. When you mention you were diagnosed with Lymphoma type B, is it Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma which it seems tends to affect B cells? You can read more about the different types of non Hodgkin Lymphoma here and about chemotherapy for Non Hodgkin Lymphoma here.

I hope your treatment goes well on Wednesday. We've actually had quite a few new members in the past few days who have also been diagnosed with lymphoma and who would like to get in touch with others and share experiences. You can read [@Aysha20]‍'s story here for example and feel free to respond if you wish.

Our nurses are also available if you have any question at any stage of your treatment - you can reach them on this free number 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello,

i am very sorry to hear your news, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 non Hodgkin Lymphoma last Thursday as well. He will start his chemotherapy tomorrow. I know it's very traumatising but doctors have said this type of cancer is very treatable with an intent to cure. My father is currently is St Barts hospital and will be there until he shows signs of any improvement. Please don't be so scared try an remain positive and think that you can beat this horrible thing. I hope it all goes well for you.
