Just had my 'final' oncology appointment. Had Breast cancer. Had lumpectomy followed by chemo followed by radio. 10 years of annual mammograms to come. Thought i would have a great feeling of relief but the thought of it returning doesn't leave you
I'm a bit behing you - half way through chemo with radio, herceptin and hormone therapy to come. I've been told by loads of friends who've had bc to expect the feelings that you've got now. At least you're going to get annual mammograms for 10 years, which should help. Be kind to yourself. You're bound to worry.
