My mother sent a random email earlier asking me to contact her, so I did halfway walking around the supermarket only to be told that she has cancer and that the estate agents are round valuing the house and can I call back tonight!

I have just come off the phone to her, and to say I am in shock is an understatement. Mum being mum though, takes things as they come, informs me she has stage 3 lung cancer and only found out after being admitted to hospital due to suffering with a severe chest infection. Apparently it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes and she will be starting chemo asap.  The 'mass' is approx 9cm, and in my eyes that's big!

Cant say too much at this early stage, just came on here to do some reading and ended up signing up on forum.
