Hi all

I was diagonised with grade 3 breast cancer on sept 9th 2016 . I have had 2 operations to remove the lump and get clear margins  so glad i am past that bit now so i  have just done my first chemo  of 6 x fec i will be having and  didnt really know what to expect in some ways its not been so bad but in others it has knocked me for six .

I am sleeping for England , look like i have been on a sun bed, my cheeks and hair are really cold which is a very strange feeling .

Good point are i havent been sick altho i feel pretty sick , i am still wanting to eat but smaller amount  .

I hope everyone else is ok .

  • Hi Mazza & welcome to this forum

I can't have chemo for my cancer but there are plenty of supportive folk here who know what u are going thru, hopefully they will reply soon. Take good care of yourself x

  • Hi Mazza I wish you all the best with this rocky journey. My mum had Non Hodkins lymphoma, thank fully now in remission. With regards to eating and sickness there're many diets which may help. My mum added fresh smoothies into her diet. With the research she did she found that certain recipes were easy to digest (limited sickness) and she got all the right nutrition. She used fresh ginger a lot which reduced inflammation. I'm no expert in this area and understand people react differently to diets but this helped my mum whilst on chemo. Again Good luck Mark
  • Hi. Hope ur feeling well. I had chemo which was fec and i think i was lucky coz i just felt tired from it. I slept for Wales and still felt tired. Then i had a mastectomy.

All i can advise is do what ur body wants. Sleep when its tired. Eat when its hungry (if u can). But dont force anything. Just be. That was my motto.    Today i will just be ........

That gave me permission to be happy, tired, sad or whatever else i felt like being.

So start with that. Today u will be........

    hope this helps. Xxxx
