My Horrible year

Disgnosed with stage three Uterine cancer at end of last year. Only 48 now and was pre-menapausal so not normal uterine cancer patient. Had total hysterectomy in January, 4 rounds of chemo, 6 weeks of radiotherapy and one Bracytherapy. Finished Mid July. Cannot say it has been a bundle of laughs and still have lots of issues but hair if growing back and I feel more in control of my life. Biggest issue is that only 30 percent of people with my stage make 5 years and that is tough.

  • Hi Han,

I'm sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with stage three uterine cancer but I'm glad that after treatment your hair is now growing back and you are feeling more in control of your life. I know you've mentioned that only 30% of people with your stage make 5 years and I can only imagine how tough that must be knowing that but if you can try not to think too far in to the future and concentrate on the here and now. I know that's easier said than done but no one knows what the future holds but at this moment in time you are in control of your life and are able to make the most of each and every day.

There are a few members that have been in a similar position and I hope you get to meet some of them soon.

    Kind Regards,
