Karen

Hello,

I'm totally new to all this. I have been diagnosed with a lymphoma growing in my eye socket & between my eyes on my forehead. All happened very fast, never really been sick before. Noticed in June, went to see docs in Sept and everything took off in Oct. Waiting for biopsy result now wondering what on earth will happen next.

Anyone else got anything like me?

Regards

Karen

  • Karen,

Hang in there. Hopefully it will be benign and that will be that. The waiting is trying, but keep calm and dont jump to conslusions.

I have neoplasms in all four sinuses and am awaiting surgery dates. Superficially it does seem aggressive since my right eye is now swollen and half its normal size. However I refuse to worry and am carrying on normally.  One day at a time.

  • Hi Karen

i am sorry you are going through this. I have non hodgkins lymphoma NHL in breast & spleen. I can't have chemo due to cirrhosis so its watch & wait with 3 monthly checks.

    This forum is very supportive.

    Take care

  • Aww, sorry to hear they can't fix you. That's terrible. Thank you for posting. It's a funny old thing but you just need to chat to others in the same boat sometimes don't you.

Tried to get my biopsy results today but they are not back so yet another weekend biting the nails.

    Regards Karen

Ah well, just going to have to get my head in the right place to play this game. I'm a go getter normally, simply not used to waiting around for anything. I will find a way round all this beause I know me

Thank you all though,  it's so good to know I'm not alone as I live out in the wilds of western Northern Ireland  so I'm quite solated

Good luck to you all with yout issues, let's hope we all make it through these trying times. As they say, ' what don't kill you will make you stronger ' and there is no use at all, crying over spilt milk

Think I'm now getting angry at pulling the short straw but determined it will not beat me, no matter what they throw at me.

I'm a survivor always was & always will be

    All the best

    K

  • Hi Karen

    thats the spirit, positivity.

It must be beautiful where u live. I live in cornwall but don't get out as due to various health probs spend most of my time in bed although I'm grateful for my warm cosy home.

    Take care

  • Yes, it is beautiful here, but like Cornwall quite wet. Have many happy memories of Cornish holidays. Hope you have a nice view from your window at least. K
  • Hi Karen

i wanted to let u know that I am thinking of u.

From my sunroom beyond the backyard  wall I can see lots of trees & a lots of sky. We have many birds in the area as my neighbour feeds them but thankfully are not bothered by seagulls as although they look-beautiful they can be viscous. There is a robin sitting on the wall singing now ;)
