hi
I finished my 6 rounds of chemo for breast cancer the end of may.The last one being the 31st.
I found the 1st one hit me hardest.I ended up neutrophenic and in hospital.
How long ago did you have it? You tend to have a bad period and then pick up for a bit before you have the next.So you come to see the pattern and know when to stay home and rest etc.
With my second and third it didn't hit me quite as hard.Number 3 I found a breeze and I didn't feel like I'd had it at all.
However I must stress that we are all different regarding to how we react. But in my opinion the 1st one must be one hell of a shock to the body.
please feel free to ask me anything you can think of regarding chemotherapy and I will try and help as best I can.
Take good care of yourself most importantly.
thinking of you

Hi, i'm on my 5th and once you are on the chemo merry go round it does go surprisingly quickly. As for feeling poorly i guess it depends on the chemo drugs they have put you on. I was put on 3 cycles of Fec and 3 of T. Fec affected me by making me feel sick and no appetite. I spoke to my Oncologist who added an extra sickness drug into the mix which helped. The first week if a cycle is always rubbish but it doesn't last. The T drug affects you differantly, makes you feel you have been steamrollered and flu symptons but again none of this last, generally just the first week. Speak to your oncologist and breast care nurse they can always adjust your tablets you take after to make you feel abit better, good luck xxxx
