Newbie

Hi, my wife (42) was diagnosed with breast cancer recently. She's had a mastectomy and is healing (but in pain due to fluid accumulation). We're 1 week post op. I am finding life very stressful (3 children; 13, 11 and 3). Cooking, washing, ironing, school packed lunches etc. I never seem to stop - but an easier life than having cancer I guess. Lympth nodes clear. Stage 2, we find out about chemo on Monday but should be no radiation therapy. Sometimes I feel like I will explode. Things will improve, but reaching out for a chat... Thanks, Mike

  • hi manstis, sounds like you are a very supportive and lovely person, and doing just the right thing, and everything you can,  i think it will help you a lot on here,  it sounds like you are being very strong for your wife, but you will have wobbles occasionally, and this is the perfect place to chat to others going through the same issues each day, i bet it wont be long before someone posts to you going through the same as your wife..in the meantime, if you get a chance..... with all those lovely kids,  click on peoples boxes, and see if you can also find someone going through the same as you and supporting a wonderfull family. i wish you all the best.   my dad has a terminal brain tumour...so were all here , thousands of us , struggling through, and supporting each other....... cococat
