New in Town

I'm Andrea I'm 50 British but living in Texas.

My husband found a lump in my left breast last week my Dr said it looked bad and referred me for Mammogram and ultrasound imaging which I had today. They said it was cancer 2cm tumor plus lymph nodes in armpit and neck. They are doing 2 biopses and 1 FNA next Monday to determine what kind it is and treatment possibilities.

I have kids 22, 20 and 17 and a very supportive husband.

As soon as I saw my Dr I felt it would be good to share with others in the same boat and to talk with people who understand but are not involved.

I expect to be visiting this forum quite a bit!

  • Hello Andrea,

Welcome to this friendly and supportive forum. Ive had prostate cancer plus losing ten members of my family to cancer over the years so I know what an emotional roller coaster ride cancer can be. It funny but so many people find it far easier to talk about their fears and feeling on hereto complete stranger than it is to talk to family or friends. On here we can be completely open and honest which can sometime be hard to do with our loved one. Also people on here understand for often they have gone through the same thing.

I hope others will reply to you soon;  please keep in contact. Sending kind thoughts your way, Brian.
