Intro

Hi

I'm Pat 66 yrs old I was diagnosed with an aggressive Soft tissue Sarcoma on my leg in November 2016.

After my operation I had 30 radiation treatments which finished 9th April this year. I had never heard of a "Sarcoma" it's a very rare cancer which can effect any part of your body. I try to be positive but it's very hard,

I think about it every day but that is normal I have a 3 months X-ray because if it comes back it normally your chest if I have a cough its come back, but saying these things I do have good days more than bad, Went to the Algarve last month booked two holidays for next year. I found cheap insurance which I will post the name. I think the anxiety will always be there but you do try and deal with it.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Pat.

I'm sorry to hear that you were diagnosed with an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma on your leg last year but I'm glad you were able to have treatment for it and are having x-rays every three months to keep an eye on things. The Algarve sounds lovely! I hope the weather was nice and you had a wonderful time. Where are you going on your next two holidays? It's great that you have things planned and that you're having more good days than bad now. I think many members can identify with you when you say that the anxiety will always be there and hopefully they will post soon to say hello and share their own experiences with you.

Feel free to have a look around the forum and chat to others as I'm sure they would love to hear from you.

    All the best,

  • Thanks Steph As you say "it's good to talk". Take care Pat
