Welcome to our forum Chezwh. I am sorry to hear you have been suffering from bad anxiety since being diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Make sure you mention this to your GP so that you can find strategies to overcome these anxious feelings.
It may help you to talk to others on the forum who have also been diagnosed with melanoma and who find themselves in a similar position. [@Melocotones] posted just a few days ago and was also diagnosed a few months ago. You can read Melocotones's thread here and feel free to respond if you wish.

I was diagnosed in June! I had the melanoma cut from my back and a biopsy on both armpits. They discovered, through that biopsy, that it has metastasised to both sets of lymph nodes! Three weeks ago I had both sets removed and am currently recovering. My left arm is recovering well, but my right arm isn't doing very well at the moment !
