Started chemo last Thursday

Hello everyone, can honestly say I never thought I would need anything like this!! How wrong was I!! Had breast cancer in July, operation went well, grading was high, started chemo last Thursday, isn't nice but I'm coping with it at the moment, needless to say I'm very positive, have low times, reading all about others in the same boat makes you think your not doing this alone!

    Just wanted to say we are thinking of you as you just started your chemotherapy on Thursday. I am pleased to hear you are coping ok at the moment and that you are feeling positive.

    As you rightly say, this forum is there for you to help you feel less alone. So anytime you feel low, or anytime you want to talk and share your experience with treatment or anything really, rest assured we are all here for you. I hope you will hear from others soon who may be also going through chemotherapy at the moment so that you can share experiences and feel you are going through this together.

    Hi Tray,

    Hope you dont mind a man replying but just wanted to welcome you to this friendly forum. I think its only natural to have both highs and lows when dealing with cancer. There are some wonderful people on here who despite having problems themselfs do their best  to help others. It not always easy to talk to family or friends sometimes and far easier to talk to others on here for often they have been in your shoes so to speak.

    Hi I was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer in July 2014, had surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Two years on I am well and enjoying life! You will face challenges along the way but each cycle of chemo is a step closer to getting well again. Stay strong but be kind to yourself, sometimes it's tough and it's ok to wobble. Rest when you can as that helps your recovery. Any questions along the way just drop me a line. Xx
