Need to keep going as long as possible

Was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer 6 yrs ago so am so lucky to still be here .unfortunetly treatment has now stopped as tumours are growing .im just not ready to go yet as have four grown up children and four amazing grandchildren the eldest is 5 .but my pain has been in my hip and leg due to arthritis ,but I knew the cancer was growing when I started getting pain in my shoulder I just want to stay alive as long as I can and enjoy my family I refuse to give up yet xx

  • The power of the mind is an amazing thing, and I hope that you will keep going, keep that fighting spirit, live every day as best you can and just cherish each day as a gift. I hope that you enjoy every moment with your family Teresa xx

  • Like Buttercup said the power of your mind is incredible and with that fighting spirit and determination I do believe that it will give you some extra time to spend with your family and precious children and grandchildren. My mum died from pancreatic cancer on 12th May this year after a 20 month fight, she had been so determined to make my sisters wedding on 30th April, she flew up north for it, lasted the whole day at her wedding, even managed a dance, a week after it she went down hill rapidly and when she was told she probably only had a couple of weeks left, she died 18hours later. I genuinely believe that her determination to get to the wedding kept her going, without it I think she would have died at least a month sooner. Human spirit and fight is an incredible thing.  Keep strong xx
