diagnosed with non small cell lung cancer

There are good days when I remain positive and bad days when I feel scared. I have too much still left to do and I am not a statistic I want go live. I have two beautiful daughters and three wonderful grandchildren and of course my little dog who is precious to me.

  • Hi, sorry to hear your news.

I was diagnosed with the same. You do not say how advanced your cancer is but the good news is non small cell is more treatable (or so I was told) than the small cell type. When diagnosed, mine was stage 3 and I have had surgery to remove the whole of the top lobe of my right lung. I am about to embark on chemo to "mop up" anything left behind, and the doctors are positive about the outcome. I tell you this because yes its terrifying when you here that word, but there really is so much that they can do these days. I have a wife three children a grandchild and another on the way, so I too have every reason to be strong and want to beat this. That is what its about (easy to say I know) but you have to be positive and with your family around you it will help you immensly. I wish you well for the future.
