New Member Saying Hello!

Hello! My name is Kirstie, I'm 23 and from Essex.

I was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in my right hip when I was 10 years old. I had chemotherapy and surgery to help me kick cancer's ugly butt and I haven't seen it again for 12 years (and counting!).

Since then I've travelled to many places across the world, completed university, got a job helping others, found the love of my life and became a homeowner. I say this not as bragging, but as proof you CAN live a full life after cancer.

After facing the hardest battle of your life, it's hard to get back to normal - even after all this time I still have occasional dark days as a result of my experiences. But things get better. Honest.

Any guys or gals that need a chat about life after cancer I'm here - going through something as rough as cancer when you're still young and don't even know who you are or where you're going yet is so difficult. You feel like you've been churned up and spat out again; and then you have to try to find your place in the world. I'm not saying I have all the answers but I hope I can offer some advice based on my own experiences.

Feel free to drop me a message anytime if you're remotely bothered about anything; or just want a chat - as you can probably tell I'm a BIG talker!

Love, hugs, and best wishes to you all
