Stomach Cancer

My 84 year old mum was diagnosed with stomach cancer 8 weeks agoe, she has surgery to remove 70% of her stomach, she is home and doing well under the circumstances, eating small meals and able to get up and about ni the house. My sister and i both work full time so its very difficult to balance caring for her with everthing else. We ensure she is visited everyday by one of us and she does have friends popping in, I am just worried about the future for her menatlly and physically, she doest seem to grasp how ill she is, despite us explaining it to her, she is expecting a fast recovery which isnt goig to happen, its a long process. I dont wantto dampen her spirits as she has coped increbibly well so far, but knowing her i feel that she is setting her self up for a fall, mentally. Anyone had a similar experience and advise ?4
