Doctors!!

Hi, at the beginning of March I developed a hernia next to my belly button and my stomach was swollen and uncomfortable. I went to my doctors, she confirmed it was a hernia and she felt my stomach and told me to loose weight!! I told her I always go up and down slightly with my weight and my bloated stomach was not right. She said all was fine but I left there, thought about it and decided it wasn't good enough so I made another appt. to see a doctor, unfortunately I was given the same one as last time and I told her again that something was wrong as I know my own body, she then told me she would refer me to the hospital for surgery on my hernia.

I was still not happy so I went again and this time made saw a different doctor who examined me and told me I had fluid in my abdomen and she arranged a blood test and a scan..... finally someone listened.

To cut a long story short I have now been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer, I've been in and had 8 litres of fluid drained from my stomach!!

I will be having 3 lots of chemo then a hysterectomy and then another 3 lots of chemo, I'm very worried about having the chemo but reading some of the stories on here has made me feel a bit better.
