  • Welcome to the forum faceache.

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and the impact it is had on you recently but it's great that you're close to your family and friends and have a great support network you can rely on when times get tough.

It's understandable to feel scared from time to time as surgery can be quite daunting and many of our members will understand what you're feeling having been in similar situations themselves.

You'll be pleased to hear one of our members [@jules54]‍ is also a keen gardener and now that I've tagged her in this post I'm sure she'll be along soon to say hello. You can see some photos of her wonderful garden and chat to other regular members of the forum here.

I'm sure you have a lovely singing voice! What is your favourite song? I like so many songs it's hard for me to choose.

I hope you enjoy being here and talking to other members on the forum. They really are a lovely bunch who I'm sure you'll get to know very quickly and become good friends :)

Please keep us updated on your situation and we have our fingers crossed it hasn't turned to melanoma.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Whilst I do not have cancer myself I found the forum when my husband was diagnosed and the support I found here during his journey and then sadly his passing last year, has been amazing.

I do enjoy gardening and many of us chat about everyday things just so that we can perhaps forget our problems (or even talk about them) for a little while.  Last year I was calling my garden my therapy room as 'losing myself outside' helped pass the time.

If you wanted to chat with someone who may be going through the same kind of cancer/treatment as you  it may help to put the name of your condition in the title of your post then other 'readers' may pick up on it.  In the meantime came and share your thoughts anytime.

By the way in addition to gardening I also have close contact with my two children and grandchildren, am almost 62 and definitely do not sing though do enjoy reading and doing wordsearch puzzles/jigsaws through online games.

Hope you have some good news soon. Jules54
