Chemo sickness

hi my cancer has returned on my lung and groin,I am on chemo for life now and my first dose last Tuesday made me viontly sick and I ended up in hospital for 3 days.

is this going to be like this all the while,or will it get a little better.truth please and has anybody got any sickness tips.thank you xxxx

    Sorry to hear that your chemo has knocked you for six.

    Which chemo regime are you on? Each seems to have different side effects, someone whose been on the same type might be able to advise.

    Hello Glenn1,

    I am so sorry to hear you have been violently sick following chemotherapy. Our page on sickness and cancer drugs may have some useful tips for you to reduce sickness. Don't hesitate also to ring our nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and they may have some helpful suggestions for you.

    I hope you will get to talk to others here who have struggled with nausea and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you and share tips on how things improved for them. Post chemotherapy nausea is frequently discussed on our forum. You might want to have a look at this recent thread and respond to it if you wish.
