  • Hi,  I'm sorry you're feeling down, I had the same feelings when I was going with my dad to his radio treatment, I felt deflated and hopeless. It made it worse that my dad couldn't speak due to the nature of his cancer, bit have since found out that cancer does a nasty job on the mental state too. Stay strong and positive and talk to others going through this. Sending hugs xx

  • Thank you for for your message,I hope you're Dad is doing ok

your right cancer can play on your mental state

but I must stay strong and positive .nice to chat to you Elaine x

  • Hi Dorothy so sorry to hear about your husband it must be hard. My husband got diagnosed to late with his prostate cancer which spread to most organs including the lungs. He only lasted a few weeks and then passed away he couldn't  cope with the pain and he gave up and turned his face to the wall and shut down and she was gone by the morning.  He did do a few rounds of chemo in the short period of time and it effected him a lot. I was always told by the nurses all we can do is be there for them we can't help with the pain or there symptoms we just need to be a helping hand. My husband was only 69 when he died still young in my eyes though this was 4 years ago now he would be celebrating his 75 birthday this year I know I will as I do every year. Take care my dear and do they have a stage or what type of lung cancer ? -Diane x
