Hi, good to talk with other people in the same boat who have been affected one way or another by cancer,  lost my mum at 46 through ovarian cancer  x i have to go for a mammogram, had one in 2011 for calcification in the breast. Have to go back now due to alot of pain over a few months, not going away, too tender to touch and a few lumps the dr picked up so hes writing to the consultant - worrying times x.

  • Good morning Becky,

Welcome to the forum. You're right that this time of waiting can be one of such worry! I hope that you will find some support here with other Cancer Chat members.

I read on your other post a little more about your situation and I wondered if it might help for you to have a chat with one of our team of nurses? They may be able to help answer some of your questions whilst you're waiting for your mammogram and the consultant appointment.

You can call them Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 (free from a UK landline).

Do keep in touch Becky and let us know how you get on. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your appointments.

    Sending best wishes.
