Lymphoma

Firstly, sorry for my bad english.

Hi, i'am a 17 years old student, and recently diagnosed with câncer (Linfoma).

I have many symptoms (Night sweats, coughing up blood and pain), how can i deal with it?

Due the queue, my terapies will begin in 8 months, and i don't know if i'll hold until there

Me and my family are conformed with the worst. I'am mentally good, but the symptoms are getting hard to bear.

Those who have gone through the same situation, how you deal with it?

Thanks!

  • Hi stervamor

    Welcome to Cancer Chat.

You don't say where you are based, but we have a list of overseas cancer organisations here.

I wonder if there is one near you that you could contact for advice?

Best wishes to you and your family,

    Jane

  • G'Day Stervamor,

There are seveal types of Lymphoma. Basically Indolent and aggessive.

Indolent is slow growing so can last many years before treatment is needed but is incurable.

I had indolent non-hodgkins lymphoma for 17 years before treatment was needed.

So probably a good idea to find out as much as you can about the type of lymphoma you have. I am interested to hear how you get on as you learn about your cancer.

So keep in touch as I have found this site to be helpful with pleasant and sensible replies to those who have recently got the cancer news. I , like you, am new here but am impressed with what I have seen here so far

    Best wishes, Gerry
